Terms and Conditions
1. Appointments
​
1.1 Session lengths are decided between tutor and student.
1.2 Cancellations result in no fee if over 2 hours notice was given. Exceptions may be granted at our discretion for serious illness or emergencies.
1.3 All sessions are delivered online via secure video conferencing, unless a face-to-face arrangement has been confirmed in advance.
2. Communications

2.1 IOC Tutors will contact students and/or their parent/guardian via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
2.2 Between Appointments, we may send feedback summaries and preparatory materials to help students maximise their progress.
3. Termination & Rescheduling

3.1 There is no ongoing commitment beyond a single Appointment unless both parties agree to a block-booking arrangement in writing.
3.2 Either party may terminate or decline further Appointments at any time by providing 2 hours’ notice per section 1.2 above.
3.3 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services if a student behaves inappropriately or fails to comply with our Code of Conduct.
4. Data Protection & Privacy

4.1 By booking or attending an Appointment, you consent to IOC Tutors holding and processing your personal data (and, if under 18, that of your parent/guardian) for the sole purpose of managing the tutoring relationship.
4.2 All data is stored securely in accordance with GDPR. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing magnus@ioctutors.org.
5. Fees & Payment

5.1 Session fees are set out specific to each tutor and will apply unless an alternative fee is agreed in writing.
5.2 Invoices are issued before each Appointment (or at the end of a block-booking period) and are payable by bank transfer within 48hours of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.
5.3 Late payments incur a 5% administration fee.

6. Liability
​
6.1 IOC Tutors makes every effort to deliver high-quality tuition but cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes.
6.2 Our total liability for any loss or damage shall be limited to the total fees paid for the relevant Appointment(s).
6.3 We accept no liability for loss resulting from technical failures (e.g. internet outages) outside our control.
7. Governing Law
​
7.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
